2.3.1 Driver Training (TDTC197B)
Prerequisite – Current driver’s license
Outcome – Participants will be able to operate a vehicle (sedans) safely in a range of conditions
Content – Drive the vehicle safely, considering the impact of speed and impairment such as fatigue, drugs and alcohol; Monitor and maintain vehicle performance; Monitor road and traffic conditions
Duration – 1 Day
2.3.2 Driver Training Four Wheel Drive (TDTC2501A)
Prerequisite – Current driver’s license; TDTC197B
Outcome – Participants will be able to operate a 4 wheel drive vehicle safely in a range of conditions
Content – Drive the vehicle safely, considering the impact of speed and impairment such as fatigue, drugs and alcohol; Operate 4 wheel drive vehicles on normal roads; Operate vehicle on, or across a slope; Operate vehicle ascending a steep close including stall recovery; Operate vehicle descending a steep close including stall recovery; Operate a vehicle in rugged terrain; Operate jack; Complete operations
Duration – 1 day
2.3.3 Driver Training Four Wheel Drive (TDTC2501A)
Prerequisite – Current driver’s license
Outcome – Participants will be able to operate a 4 wheel drive vehicle safely within a range of road conditions with an additional emphasis practising the skills of operating and recovering a vehicle in rugged terrain.
Content – Drive the vehicle safely, considering the impact of speed and impairment such as fatigue, drugs and alcohol; Operate 4 wheel drive vehicles on normal roads; Operate vehicle on, or across a slope; Operate vehicle ascending a steep close including stall recovery; Operate vehicle descending a steep close including stall recovery; Operate a vehicle in rugged terrain; Operate jack; Complete operations
